SOMA is an avant-garde art installation that delves into the hidden processes of sleep using a fusion of art, medicine and technology.
Soma represents an artistic vision aimed at making the complex and individual processes of sleep visible. Through abstract systems and intentional use of color, it sensitively reflects the layered nature of sleep data and individual uniqueness.
SOMA blends science and creativity, offering fresh insights into the use of medical data and the architecture of sleep.
The project’s goal is not only to visualize sleep data but also to challenge the common perception of sleep as passive and unproductive. By using biodata without active input from participants, an atmosphere of equality is created, shifting the focus to the inner world of the sleepers.
The installation utilizes cutting-edge technology and an immersive virtual reality environment to offer visitors an unparalleled experience. With intuitive gestures and simple controls, they can interactively engage with the experience, becoming active participants in the artistic process.
Soma provides more than just a visual experience; it invites reflection on the importance and value of sleep. With its unique blend of art installation, virtual reality, and data visualization, Soma opens up new perspectives and invites viewers to experience sleep in an unprecedented way.
